Kiyoshi Tachikawa, PhD, serves as Chief Scientific Officer, Board Member, and Co-Founder of Liferna. He brings more than 25 years of experience in biologics, RNA therapeutics, and next-generation drug platforms, with contributions spanning discovery through clinical development.
Prior to Liferna, Dr. Tachikawa spent a decade at Arcturus Therapeutics, where he helped establish the scientific foundation for multiple RNA programs, including Kostaive®, the world’s first commercialized self-amplifying mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. His work has included collaborations with Johnson & Johnson, Takeda, Lilly, and Ultragenyx. He is an inventor on more than 40 patents and has authored over 30 scientific publications.
