Liferna Deepens Translational Research Partnership with the University of Michigan

Liferna today announced an expanded multi-year translational research collaboration with the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), building on years of joint work in early-stage disease biology and biomarker discovery.

The expanded agreement broadens the scope of joint research across Liferna’s oncology and fibrotic disease programs, with a particular emphasis on:

  • Mechanistic biology supporting LFR-401 and combination ADC strategies
  • Biomarker development for patient selection in cervical, lung, and breast cancers
  • Fibrotic disease pathway research informing the LFR-201 program in IPF and systemic sclerosis

Why academic partnership matters

Liferna’s development model is built on global collaboration — pairing internal expertise with leading academic and clinical centers to accelerate the science. The University of Michigan brings deep translational capabilities and a long track record of advancing therapies from bench to bedside.

“Great medicines start with great science. This expanded partnership ensures that our most promising programs are continually informed by some of the strongest translational research in the country.”
