Dushyant Varshney, PhD, is Chairman, CEO, and Founder of Liferna, leading the company’s strategy and development of innovative therapies for autoimmune diseases and cancer. He brings more than 25 years of biopharmaceutical leadership experience across RNA medicines, biologics, vaccines, small molecules and cell and gene therapies.
Prior to founding Liferna, Dr. Varshney served as CTO of Arcturus Therapeutics, where he helped lead development of Kostaive®, the first approved self-amplifying mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. Earlier, at Gilead-Kite Pharma, he contributed to the launch of CAR-T therapies YESCARTA® and TECARTUS®. Throughout his career, he has developed and launched more than 40 product launches, secured over 85 IND/NDA/BLAs, generated over $20 billion in revenues, 20+ licensing and M&A transactions, and over $6 billion in fundraising initiatives.
